The Future City of London Skyline
Take a look at the new architecture planned for the City of London, whilst musing at how the old and new buildings exist cheek by jowl in the streets and lanes of the oldest part of London.
In the basement of a building adjacent to Guildhall is a 1:500 scale model of all the Square Mile’s buildings and streets. The fascinating family friendly exhibit also includes future buildings that have been granted planning permission and will soon be added to the impressive City of London skyline.
The Shard
The model includes the River Thames winding it’s way through the heart of London and the bridges that span it. To the South of the river can be found familiar buildings such as the unmistakable soaring contours of The Shard, Western Europe’s tallest building.
Opening times: Friday & Saturday 10 am-5 pm, Free Entry.
