Open House London
A Festival of Architecture
Open House London is advertised as ‘London’s largest festival of architecture and urban design’. That it undoubtedly is, but it also represents a once a year opportunity to gain access to some of those buildings you may have always wanted to visit but would normally not be able. Many, such as several buildings in the City of London and Westminster have restricted access during the year, but during several dates in September each year they open their doors to the public (free of charge).
Get The Guide
A guide listing participating buildings is issued several weeks before (usually in August). The guide not only describes the buildings but also highlights areas that the public can gain access within each building. Relevant information is also available online at https://openhouselondon.org.uk/
Open House London 2022 takes place September 8th/21st.
The following pictures are a sample of the buildings I have enjoyed visiting in past Open House London weekends.
