Bustling Camden Market is located alongside Regent’s Canal surrounded by popular bars, clubs, and live music venues such as Dingwalls & The Roundhouse. The market attracts visitors of all ages but is renowned for it’s retro and counterculture fashion, popular with Punks, Mods and Ska music fans among others. Although Camden has several individual markets the Stables Market is the largest and most popular.
Stables Market is a maze of narrow alleys full of colourful stalls selling a wide range of merchandise that include retro fashion, antiques, music memorabilia, together with outlets offering both Street and good quality restaurant food.
The live music heritage of Camden is well known to music lovers far and wide. In an open area of the market is a statue to one of Camden’s own, International star Amy Winehouse lived locally and played her final UK gig in 2011 just 2 minutes walk from Stables Market at The Roundhouse, Chalk Farm.
The market reopened on June 1st after being closed for several weeks due to the Coronavirus.
